🚨 Applications are now open: GuardIAS eDNA Summer School 2026 (25 June – 7 July 2026)! 🌊🧬Aquatic invasive alien species are a growing threat to biodiversity, ecosystem services, and water security across Europe. Early detection and rapid response are essential — and environmental DNA (eDNA) is increasingly becoming a cornerstone tool for surveillance, monitoring, and management.
📣 We are excited to announce the GuardIAS Summer School 2026, an intensive training programme designed for students and early-career professionals who want hands-on, state-of-the-art skills in:
✅ Field sampling and monitoring design
✅ Laboratory workflows for eDNA analysis
✅ Bioinformatics pipelines and interpretation
✅ Translating evidence into management and policy actionThe programme combines lectures, practical sessions, and applied case studies, offering a strong bridge between science, innovation, and real-world implementation.
