1. About the Society

The Southern eDNA Society is a professional non-profit society dedicated to promoting science and industry collaboration across Australia and New Zealand. Our mission is to advance best-practice environmental DNA (eDNA) methods and adoption across government, private, and community sectors.

2. General Information Only

The content provided on this website is for general information and educational purposes only. While SeDNAs makes reasonable efforts to ensure that all information is accurate and up-to-date at the time of publication, we do not warrant its completeness or reliability.

Science is a rapidly evolving field. We recommend that users verify information independently before relying on it for critical decision-making or commercial application.

3. Partners and Sponsors

SeDNAs collaborates with various partners and sponsors to support our mission.

  • Content Responsibility: Any information, materials, or advertisements provided by our partners or sponsors are their sole responsibility. SeDNAs does not guarantee the accuracy of third-party content.

  • Values Alignment: The SeDNAs Board takes reasonable efforts to ensure that our sponsors and partners share the Society’s values and mission. However, the presence of a partner or sponsor on our website does not constitute an explicit endorsement of their specific commercial products or services unless stated otherwise.

4. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, the content on this website (including text, graphics, logos, and images) is the property of SeDNAs or its contributors and is protected by Australian and international copyright laws.

  • You may view, download, and print content for personal, non-commercial, or educational use.

  • You must not modify, reproduce, or distribute our content for commercial purposes without prior written permission.

  • Eligibility & Admission: Membership is open to individuals committed to our mission. Applications must be made in writing, and admission is at the sole discretion of the Board.

  • Fees: Annual membership fees are determined by the Board and are due on 1 July each year.

  • Non-Payment: If fees are not paid by the due date, membership rights (including voting) are immediately suspended. If fees remain unpaid for 60 days after a reminder, the member is deemed to have resigned.

9. Community Jobs

The job listings on the Community Jobs board are provided by third-party organisations and are not offers of employment from the Southern eDNA Society (SeDNAs). While we make reasonable efforts to curate opportunities that are relevant to our community of researchers and practitioners, the publication of a listing does not constitute an endorsement or recommendation of the hiring organisation or the specific role by the Society. SeDNAs accepts no responsibility for the accuracy of the listing content or the recruitment processes of external entities.
