About eDNAqua-Plan
eDNAqua-Plan is a three-year Horizon Europe-funded initiative to pave the way for a more harmonised and interoperable landscape for aquatic eDNA data across Europe. Bringing together experts and stakeholders from diverse fields, the project is assessing the current state of the aquatic eDNA data and has proposed an ambitious vision with recommendations for a future eDNA digital landscape that is more efficient, sustainable and has FAIR data principles at its core. To advance this vision, we are creating a roadmap that sets the actions necessary to implement this vision together with key stakeholders, such as data providers, repositories, and end-users.
Ultimately, eDNAqua-Plan will deliver a Technical Blueprint for the future eDNA digital ecosystem, accompanied by an Implementation Roadmap designed in collaboration with key stakeholders, such as data providers, repositories, and end-users. Our legacy will support future biodiversity monitoring programmes, contribute to realising the potential of eDNA data for multiple applications and help achieve the goals of the EU Mission: Restore our Ocean and Waters, the EU Green Deal and the Ocean Pact. About the survey
We have launched a survey to gather feedback from eDNA practitioners on our proposed recommendations. The survey focuses on technical recommendations and actions that have been developed by eDNAqua-Plan project partners as detailed in this Conceptual Landscape Proposal and illustrated with our Vision Factsheet.
Your feedback will help us shape and delivere a Technical Blueprint for a more easily navigable and harmonised eDNA digital ecosystem and a Roadmap for its future implementation.
