Dr. Joshua Koh will present his work on "Multimodal machine learning with eDNA for ecosystem biomonitoring".
Dr. Josh Koh leads the Drone Operations and Technology Solutions (DOTS) team at the Office of the Supervising Scientist (OSS), Darwin. His team conducts environmental monitoring using remote sensing, AI and omics technologies for Kakadu National Park and surrounding, with a special focus on the Ranger uranium mine under rehabilitation. Prior to joining OSS, Josh was the Chief Remote Pilot for Agriculture Victoria and led several AgTech commercialisation projects. Although trained as a plant molecular biologist, Josh has pivoted into remote sensing and AI research and is passionate about translating cross-disciplinary research into real world impact.
