What You’ll Do:
• Lead hands-on lab work: eDNA/eRNA extractions, PCR, and metagenomics prep
• Analyse complex datasets with bioinformatics for metabarcoding and metagenomics
• Explore advanced methods, including live/dead DNA discrimination and intra-/extracellular analyses
• Collaborate with students, researchers, iwi, and partner organisations to deliver real-world impact
• Contribute to research projects that shape sustainable freshwater management in Aotearoa
This 2-year fixed-term role offers a unique opportunity to blend lab science, computational work, academic writing, and meaningful collaboration – all while contributing to Lincoln University’s growing freshwater team.
